An overdue update: I'm going to be a parent soon

I'm having a kid!

I'm having a child that is due in December.  As you might gather from a quick scroll, I haven't prioritized blogging much in the last few months, as I've been busy volunteering with the Citizens' Climate Lobby and for Hexlab Makerspace.  

But I thought I should get a post up in case anyone stumbles over here:
